Last-Minute Conclave Details

by Chris Brightwell on April 11, 2010

We’ve been light on the info, but here’s all the info we currently have for Conclave.  Better late than never, right?

  1. This is a Class “A” uniform event. No exceptions, except for when you’re participating in drum/dance or ceremonial competitions or evaluations or when you’re participating in the team competitions on Saturday afternoon.
  2. Bring your own tent. There are a very limited number of tents available in our campsite, so you need to bring your own sleeping arrangements.
  3. There is a lodge contingent t-shirt. It will be on sale at the Coosa Lodge Trading Post (not the Section Trading Post) during the weekend.  We do not know the final cost, but it’s usually around $12.
  4. Dinner will be served on Friday night. If you decide to eat before you arrive, or need any last-minute supplies, the last outpost before Camp Tuckabatchee is in Clanton.  If you miss that, you’ll have to go into Prattville.
  5. If you want to travel with the contingent there are two groups leaving from the Birmingham Service Center (516 Liberty Pkwy). The first will depart at 4pm, the second at 6pm.  Parking is extremely limited at Camp Tuckabatchee, so please make plans to carpool where you can.
  6. If you’re trying to find driving directions to Camp Tuckabatchee, click here.

We just received the Conclave Delegate Guidebook, which has a detailed schedule, a detailed training schedule, and a map of Camp Tuckabatchee.  To download the guidebook (it’s a PDF, so you need Adobe Reader), click on this link:
