Two Saturdays, Three W’s.

by N. G. Moore on January 13, 2011

This Saturday, January 15th, Muscogee Chapter will be hosting a service workday at Camp Tranquility at Oak Mountain State Park – an event open to all Arrowmen in our lodge! Those attending will be working on repairing cabins, road drainage, and tree removal. If you can attend, dress warmly, bring a lunch and gloves, along with any tools you have. Camp Tranquility is located off of Findlay Boulevard in Oak Mountain State Park; please let Muscogee Chapter Chief Davis F. know if you need specific directions to get to the camp. Work will begin at 8 AM and continue until 4 PM. Attendees will receive a Camp Tranquility patch. This is a great opportunity to earn service hours, assist our the community, and just enjoy cheerful service with your Brothers!

You’re probably wondering, “But, that’s only one Saturday and two W’s!” Well, the lodge Winter Banquet is January 22nd starting at 6:30 PM at Gardendale Mount Vernon UMC. There’s going to be the presentation of awards (including the Founder’s Award!), free food, the trading post, and tons of fellowship with your Brothers!

Two Coosa events two weekends in a row? Each only taking up one day each weekend? Free food?!

Gee, Coosa Lodge, it’s no wonder you’re so awesome.
