1 Week ’til American Indian Seminar! (If you have a tipi, bring it!)

by Chris Brightwell on March 4, 2011

This is it, folks.  We’re exactly one week away from kicking off our sixth annual American Indian Seminar, set for March 11-13 at Comer Scout Reservation near Mentone, AL.  Arrowmen from all lodges are welcome to attend and participate.  For more info, check out our American Indian Seminar info page.

If you haven’t already pre-registered, you’ve unfortunately missed the deadline for the early registration discount, but you can still register on-site for $25.  We’ll have the full schedule for the weekend available early next week, so be sure to check back next week.  If you’d rather save yourself the chore of checking this page regularly, do yourself a favor: sign up for email updates, follow us on Twitter, or find us on Facebook.

One more thing — I got a quick request from Mr. Julian Simmons (adviser to the Vice-Chief of Native American Affairs):  If you have a tipi, or know anyone who does, please feel free to bring it and set it up on the parade field. You can plan to sleep in it, offer it as a sleeping space to other participants, or simply set it up as a display piece.  Just look for Mr. Simmons when you arrive and he’ll help you find the best place to set it up.
