Tornado Relief

by Devan Beitel on May 13, 2011

Last weekend we sent out information about where you can go and help the tornado relief efforts. Again this weekend we are doing the same.

The Flat Rock community is needing help, and asks that you go the Flat Rock community center or gym, and speak with Ms. Candice Emmerson.
Marshall County is in need of help also. Go to the Guntersville Recreation Center (1500 Sunset Drive, Guntersville, AL 35976) to be given assignments.
The City of Hanceville needs volunteers. Go to the Hanceville Water Department and speak with Rusty. They have plenty of opportunities to give service.

Again, safety is key when helping this weekend. Remember to wear proper attire (sturdy shoes, long pants, hat), and try to bring a pair of gloves. You should also bring some water and a lunch when working.

Remember, if you work 5 hours you can get a special patch through the Section ReliefCorps.
