Lots of Opportunities for Cheerful Service

by Chris Brightwell on October 4, 2011

Over the next three weekends, there will be lots of opportunities for Arrowmen from Coosa Lodge to once again provide invaluable service to the Greater Alabama Council.

Remember the immortal words of our Founder, Dr. E. Urner Goodman: “He who serves his fellows is, of all his fellows, greatest!”

  • During each of the next three weekends (Oct. 7-9, Oct. 14-16, and Oct. 21-23), the Greater Alabama Council will be hosting Cub Haunted events at several of its camp properties.  These camps will be jam packed with Cub Scouts and their families, so they’re going to need all of the help they can get.  If you can help out for all or part of any of these weekends, it would really be great. For more information, check out this news post from a few weeks ago: Service Corps Needed for Cub Haunted
  • On Oct. 22, the Camp Jack Wright Committee will be hosting a work day at Camp Jack Wright.  Coosa Lodge will be joining the effort with a Hawk Day (aka a service day) to help maintain the camp.  If you’re interested, you can find more info here: Hawk Day Scheduled for Camp Jack Wright on October 22nd
Then, after a weekend off, we get to return to Camp Comer for the final Ordeal of 2011 on Nov. 4-6.
