With Fall Fellowship in the books, we look forward to one more Ordeal before 2013.

by Chris Brightwell on October 9, 2012

This past weekend, Coosa Lodge hosted its 14th annual Fall Fellowship at Camp Sequoyah.  Nearly 200 Coosa Lodge members joined Order of the Arrow National Chief John Rehm for a weekend filled with fellowship, patch trading, great food, decent weather, and a great show from Coosa Shows.  If you weren’t there, you missed all the fun!

A new slate of lodge officers was elected, led by 2012-13 Coosa Lodge Chief Patrick Yim:

  • Lodge Chief, Patrick Yim
  • Vice-Chief of Service, John Mayhall
  • Vice-Chief of Administration, David Marsh
  • Vice-Chief of Fellowship, Tyler Belk
  • Vice-Chief of Inductions, Will Tidwell
  • Vice-Chief of Native American Affairs, Alex Pope
  • Immediate Past Lodge Chief, Kyle Dotson
  • Lodge Adviser, Mr. Ed O’Neal
  • Lodge Staff Adviser, Mr. Joey Kiker

Additionally, beginning this year, elected Chapter Chiefs will have a voting position on the Lodge Executive Committee, though they will not count against the requirements for a quorum.

We inducted 13 new Vigil Honor members and 6 new Brotherhood members.   The new Vigil Honor members are: Tyler Belk, Davis Faulkner, Micah Gilliland, Sam Hardy, John Mayhall, Cole Thorton, Patrick Yim, Mr. Doug Adair, Mr. Randy Dotson, Mrs. Jana Mayhall, Mrs. Yolanda Pleasant, Mr. Fred Roddam, and Mr. Dan Trust.

Next up, we’re focusing on our upcoming Ordeal at Camp Westmoreland on November 2-4 at Camp Westmoreland, then our Hawk Day service project at Camp Jack Wright on November 10th.  After that, we’ll hold our annual Winter Leadership Retreat for lodge officers and advisers.  More info on that will be released soon.

In 2013, look forward to our Lodge Training Summit and Winter Banquet, which brings back our one day of intense training and combines it with our popular winter banquet.  We’ll also have a Spring Pow-Wow, several Ordeal weekends, a fantastic Conclave weekend at Bert Adams Scout Reservation (hosted by Egwa Tawa Dee Lodge), and lots more.

Please notify me about brotherhood ordeal dates. I’ve been told to wait 10 months and it’s been nearly 11. I haven’t been notified about brotherhood. Please reply as soon as possible. Awaiting your reply!

Hello Nathan, we appreciate your enthusiasm. If you wish to become a Brotherhood member, please come to the next Ordeal. There’s usually Brotherhood counseling at other Lodge events, but those are subject to change. You can view the Lodge calendar here.
