Coosapalooza is only a week away! Are you ready for Fall Fellowship?

by Dylan Clark on September 27, 2013

We’re now just a week away from Coosa Lodge’s 15th annual Fall Fellowship, Coosapalooza! With an entire weekend full of carnival-themed events and more, here’s what you need to know:

Event Specifics – October 4-6 at Camp Comer in Fort Payne, AL with a cost of $30 and membership dues $15 for those who didn’t go through their Ordeal this year. Registration can be found online here, or you can arrive anytime between 5 and 8 pm on Friday or Saturday morning to register.

Campsite Assignments – We’re assigning campsites based on which Chapter you’re from. This helps you get to know local Arrowmen and helps us find specific people in case of emergency. Please only camp in these designated campsites.

  • Hawk:
    Achunanchi Chapter (Choccolocco District)
    Cheaha Chapter (Cheaha District)
  • Black Bear:
    Muscogee Chapter (Shelby District)
  • Mountain Lion:
    Choctaw Chapter (Lookout Mountain District)
  • Racoon:
Nacha Sipo Chapter (Three Rivers District)
  • Beaver:
    Koasati Chapter (Mountain Lakes District)
    Kaskanampo Chapter (Talakto District)
  • Owl:
Cherokee Chapter (Cherokee District) Cahaba Chapter (Birmingham District)
  • Wolf:
    Nischamawat Chapter (Arrowhead District)
  • Panther:
    Nunne Hi Chapter (Vulcan District)
  • Wolverine:
    Yuchi Chapter (Westmoreland District)

We don’t anticipate any changes to this list, but anything is possible, so double-check with the registration crew on your assignment when you check in. Maps and directions will be available at registration and at the Service Corps booth. If you need help finding your campsite or carrying gear, the Service Corps will glad to help. Tents and adirondacks will be set up and available to all at Comer.

Schedule 2013 Fall Fellowship Schedule

You’ll have plenty of opportunities throughout the weekend to take part in all sorts of Paloozas, the chance to meet the Section and Region chiefs, check out the Trading Post, sit in on several Coosa training sessions, and participate in Chapter and Lodge competitions!

Important Note

Coosapalooza will be the biggest party Coosa has ever hosted! To make this happen, we need adult volunteers to help with The Carnival and Sports-Palooza. If you are willing to volunteer, please contact Fellowship Adviser Will Jackson at for more information. There will be shifts of referees, game/safety monitors, and Food-Palooza assistants on Saturday morning and afternoon. We request as many volunteers as possible to make the shifts short enough for everyone to enjoy the Palooza!

Don’t forget the Patch-a-Palooza! Coosa will hold it’s annual patch auction on Saturday night. All proceeds go to the Greater Alabama Council campership fund. If you would like to make a memorabilia donation to the auction, please contact Eric Ross at

For all the information and resources you might need for Coosapalooza, you can go to the main page here. Make sure to stay updated on all things Coosa before, during, and after the event – find us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter, or subscribe to our email updates. Our Coosa Lodge LIVE team will also be covering this year, so check them out on Twitter. Hope to see everyone there!
