Looks like the Carnival is in town!

by Dylan Clark on October 4, 2013

Well Arrowmen, it looks like the carnival is in town, so come on down to Camp Comer for Coosapalooza!

It’s finally here, 2013 Fall Fellowship – the weekend where Coosa will come together in its annual celebration, this time as we begin to recognize our 15th year with the Order of the Arrow! Be prepared to take part in Coosapalooza with carnival-themed events and games, all forming part of our various “paloozas” that’ll be happening throughout the weekend. For a weekend schedule of what all will be happening, click here.

For all information regarding Fall Fellowship, including event specifics, campsite arrangements, and more – make sure to look at previous posts:  Get ready for Fall Fellowship 2013! , Coosapalooza is only a week away! Are you ready for Fall Fellowship? , and the main page for the event here. It’s not too late to register online as well as buy a 2014 Event Pass, which you can do by going to the Dues and Registration page. Note, you can still sign in on Friday or Saturday and register then, along with buy an event pass if you’d like.

Coosapalooza will be the biggest party Coosa has ever hosted! To make this happen, we need adult volunteers to help with The Carnival and Sports-Palooza. If you are willing to volunteer, please contact Fellowship Adviser Will Jackson at will@coosa50.org for more information. There will also be a Patch-a-Palooza, which will feature Coosa’s annual patch auction where all proceeds go to the GAC campership fund. If you would like to make a memorabilia donation to the auction, please contact Eric Ross at coosatpa@gmail.com. We’ll also be holding several chapter-based events and competitions, find all the information you need for that here. (especially for you Chapter Chiefs!)

The lodge’s big-event media team will be covering the event this year with Coosa Lodge LIVE on Twitter, so make sure to follow them and show your Scout spirit during Coosapalooza!

Lastly, you’ll also have the chance to seal your membership in the order if you’ve been a Ordeal member for at least ten months by obtaining Brotherhood! You can find all of the information you need in our Brotherhood Study Guide (click here for password info) or at the OA JumpStart website. If you’re interested in attaining Brotherhood, talk to the registration staff when you check-in.

That’s all for now, hope to see everyone this weekend in the spirit of Brotherhood, Cheerfulness, and Service!
