In just a couple of years, the Order will be celebrating it’s 100th anniversary at the 2015 National Order of the Arrow Conference (NOAC) up at Michigan State University. To make the event even more special, national is working with all the lodges in the nation on a special project – a centennial fireplace to host our Order’s fire of Cheerfulness as it comes time to transition into a new century with Scouting’s National Honor Society.
Here’s a look at what Coosa has contributed:
With the lodge’s insignia and information added, Coosa’s rock will be part of the fireplace along with others from around the country. Our rock came from atop the highest point in Alabama, Cheaha Moutnain, with permission of course from the state and Cheaha Park. Now, it’s awaiting a trip to Michigan in 2015!
Keep an eye out in the following months as we begin to gear up for the 100th anniversary NOAC in just over 600 days in Michigan! For more information about NOAC, take a look at the official event page here. As for the lodge, we’ll have a page up for the event soon and to make sure you stay updated on everything, find us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter, or subscribe to our email updates.
