Camp Jackson has now been cheerfully served!

This past weekend, Coosa took a big undertaking, and left a huge impact!

With a total of 249 Arrowmen, including 128 new members to the Order, the Lodge was able to get down to business and take the first major step to revitalizing Camp Jackson. Along with gaining new members, Coosa gained 24 new Brotherhood members.

Starting bright and early Saturday morning, we tackled everything that we could. Service projects included clearing the trails to the camp’s iconic pinnacle, improving paths to the dining hall and docks, working on wiring for Jackon’s marina, beginning construction of a new council ring, and more.

Culminating in a great night for new members on Saturday and a productive L.E.C. meeting on Sunday morning, overall, it was an excellent weekend! A lot has been leading up to this, and many are glad that the Order of the Arrow was there to help undo what nature dealt us in 2011.

Coosa,

Thank you for working to bring Camp Jackson back. There is so much potintial at the camp and it will always be special to me. I spent several years there as a camper and staff member. As well as completing my Ordeal, Brotherhood and keeing my Vigil at the camp. I just wish I was close enough to have come helped with the Cherful Service that weekend.
