Happy Monday, everyone! It seems like the perfect week for an Ordeal, and thankfully, we have just the thing for that. This Friday through Sunday, October 2-4, everybody who is anybody will be heading over to Camp Jackson for a weekend of service and fellowship. Remember that this is a camp which still greatly needs all the work it can get. Over four years after the camp was completely destroyed, there still remains plenty of work to do.
If you are a candidate wanting to complete your Ordeal at this event, you can find everything you need to get started here. Try to register just as soon as you can (it really helps in the planning stages), but if you absolutely can’t register ahead of time, you will be able to register on-site, but you need to make especially sure to get to camp early to do so. Note that this is your last opportunity to complete your Ordeal until May of next year. You really don’t want to miss everything from Fall Fellowship to Conclave that happens between now and May, so if you can make this Ordeal, you really should!
A quick check of the forecast for Scottsboro this weekend shows some really nice weather for this weekend, especially during the daytime. However, there is a small amount of rain in the forecast, and October nights tend to get a bit chilly, so make sure that you come prepared to deal with both of those.
Speaking of being prepared, have you registered for this event yet? If you haven’t registered yet, you can do so over here. On the other hand, if you have registered already, congratulate yourself with a GIF of a running hamster.
If you don’t know how to get to Camp Jackson, you can fix that here.
