As our drummers and dancers and ceremonialists congregate at Camp Westmoreland for the Westmoreland Ceremonies Summit, and the rest of us wind down 2015 in our own way, I’d like to invite each of you to take minute and just reflect on what you’ve done in 2015 and what you hope to accomplish in 2016.
Coosa Lodge had a spectacular year, starting in January at LTS and ending tonight at Camp Westmoreland. Along the way, we hosted the SR-9 Section Winter Activities Gathering (Yep, SWAG.), invited hundreds of Cub Scouts to join us at Spring Pow-wow, joined 1,000 of our Brothers at the SR-9 Conclave, hosted ArrowTour at Camp Comer, took 165+ to NOAC, inducted hundreds of new Ordeal members, helped dozens attain Brotherhood, recognized a bunch of award recipients and honorees, and provided thousands of hours of service to our local camps.
It’s easy to say that 2015 has been a banner year for Coosa Lodge, and 2016 is shaping up to be bigger and better in every way. If you’re reading this, I hope you can be a part of it.
If you haven’t already done so, take a look at our 2016 Coosa Lodge Calendar (http://coosa50.org/calendar) and block out your personal calendar for a few events, starting with Indian Winter in just two weeks and Lodge Training Summit on February 6th! These events will set the pace and tone for what’s to come, and we need you to be there.
See you in 2016!
