by Chris Brightwell on February 16, 2016

On Saturday February 27, 2016 all Coosa Lodge Arrowmen are invited to Camp Tranquility for Hawk Day. There are a number of projects going on including restoration of the Unit Lodge; Unit Cabins, and general debris and tree removal.

All Arrowmen will have the chance to earn a patch from the Camp Tranquility Preservation Association (CTPA) for giving 8 Hours of Service. Patches are limited to 100 issues, so make sure you are there and signed in to get these. The local CTPA Members along with Oak Mountain State Park Staff will be in charge of this event. A Centennial Service Flap from the lodge can be purchased at the end of the day also.

The basic tools we need for you to bring to the camp event are:

  • Pruners
  • Wheelbarrows
  • Shovels
  • Saws
  • Backpack Gas Blowers (need multiple)
  • Chain Saws (adults only – need multiple)
  • Hammers
