With about 150 Arrowmen on staff and more than 400 participants of all ages, we had nearly 600 people in camp for the 2016 edition of our annual Spring Pow-wow! Everyone had a great weekend, despite that we had to shuffle a bunch of stuff around due to lingering threats of rainy weather.
The rain finally came at about 9 PM on Saturday, but not until we spent the day enjoying all kinds of hiking, advancement, and Native American activities. The afternoon peaked with our annual dance pow-wow before we reset the dining hall to make room for the closing show and bridging ceremony.
At the closing show, we saw more than a dozen Webelos bridge into Boy Scouts with a little bit of help from our Order of the Arrow ceremonial figures. We also saw a new video from Coosa Shows, entitled “The Scout Oath.” Afterwards, everyone lined up for all the ice cream they could eat and we settled into our seats to watch a movie on our big screen.

Hosting this event every year is a blast for us, and we always learn new ways to improve on the next year’s event. See you in 2017!
