Calling ALL Lodge Members!
November 19th is the next Coosa Lodge Hawk Day. Located at Camp Jackson in Scottsboro, we will be having a day of meaningful service to help get this great camp back to its former self. After being hit by the tornados in 2011, the camp still needs a lot of work done to help it get back into good repair. This will be a good time for everyone to come and show his devotion to cheerful service, and a good task to help break in our new Vice Chief of Service as well.
What are we doing?
- Repairing tent platforms and frames
- Working on the Camp Arch
- Putting door closers and handles on bathhouse doors
- Making signs for and repainting the gate
- Painting the kitchen
- Clearing brush around new campsites
What do I need to bring to help work?
This is a list of items we need. Please RSVP with our VC of Service to let him know you are coming, and what you are bringing or ask if there is anything not on this list that you can bring.
- Saws (Circular and hand)
- Electric screwdrivers
- Power Cords
- Loppers and Chainsaws
- Basic hand tools
- White and barn red paint and brushes
- Hunter green paint
- And we also need Door Closers and Handles
