Westmoreland Hawk Day

by Aaron Crawford on August 3, 2017

What: Hawk Day

Where: Camp Westmoreland

When: Saturday, August 5th 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The next Hawk Day is approaching soon. As our first event after the summer, this will be a great opportunity to catch up with old friends while providing Cheerful Service to Camp Westmoreland.

As many of you know, Camp Westmoreland is one of our camps that is not an active summer camp, but it still provides facilities for troops to use for events. This Hawk Day will be important to the continuing mission of providing quality campgrounds and facilities for these troops. We have a list of tools that we need to complete some of the projects this weekend.

  • Work gloves
  • Shovels
  • Post hole diggers
  • Paint brushes
  • Screwdrivers
  • Chainsaws
  • Loppers
  • Heavy duty rakes
  • Pressure washers
  • Water hoses
  • Safety glasses
  • Weed eaters
  • Tamping bars
  • Carpenter’s levels
  • Carpenter tools
  • Saw horses
  • Skill saws

Final Details

The Lodge will be providing lunch during the day, so no need to worry about having to bring your own. Also, for every four hours that you volunteer, you will be eligible to purchase a Coosa Lodge service flap for five dollars.

The address for Camp Westmoreland is 520 Westmoreland Road
