Ordeal Weekends

Each year, Coosa Lodge hosts several Ordeal Weekends as part of the formal Order of the Arrow inductions process. These weekends provide opportunities for Ordeal candidates to complete their Ordeal and for eligible Ordeal members to attain Brotherhood.

If you were elected by your troop or team in the last 12 months, but have not yet completed the Ordeal, you are an Ordeal Candidate.  Please go to the Ordeal Information page for everything you need to know.  If you still have questions, please contact a member of the Lodge Executive Committee.

If you have been an Ordeal member for 10 months or longer, you are eligible to attain Brotherhood.  There is no charge for this, but you must download and study the latest update to the Brotherhood Study Guide, available on the misc. publications page.  You can find a lot of the same information on the Order of the Arrow JumpStart page at http://jumpstart.oa-bsa.org/.

All members of Coosa Lodge are encouraged to attend the Ordeal and help where they can.  Whether you work in the kitchen, serve as an Elangomat, work alongside one of the work crews, or find another way to be useful, this is one of the most important opportunities for our lodge to provide cheerful service to our council’s camps.

Dates and locations for this year’s Ordeal weekends can be found on the official Lodge calendar.
